EastEnders fans have been left fearing for the future of Jack Branning (played by Scott Maslen) as he tries to cover up the shooting of returning icon Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan).

During Monday's trip to Walford (8th September), Jack turned into a fully-fledged corrupt cop as he plotted against local gangster Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) for Zoe's shooting last week.

As Zoe recovered in hospital from a single bullet wound she failed to build any relationship with her estranged mum Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) as she continued to hide her connections to Max Branning (Jake Wood).

Back in the Square, Jack and Ravi continued to cover their tracks after their fight over a gun caused the incident.
