A local non-profit celebrated a major milestone Friday evening.

Harvest 912 works to deliver foot care, new boots and basic necessities to those in need.

The organization started in 2020, and up until now, they have been a mobile operation.

Thanks to sponsors and community support, they have grown their reach and opened a brand new permanent facility that they invited the public to visit Friday evening.

"This was really a volunteer and donor appreciation event. We have met so many incredible people who have put in time and donated money to keep this going. to staff all of our clinics. We had some of our volunteer physicians here today as well as our community volunteers," said Tad and Kit Jakes, co-founders of the nonprofit.
