VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies are searching for a man’s whereabouts after he attacked someone at a home gathering in DeBary over the weekend, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s office.

In a release , the sheriff’s office announced that the man — identified as Jose Murrieta-Molina, 38 — was approached by the victim at the house gathering along Sycamore Drive on Saturday night.

“After the victim asked (Murrieta-Molina) for $100 he was owed, the suspect pistol-whipped him, hit him with a metal baseball bat, and used a stun baton on him,” the release reads.

Despite a ground search, though, deputies haven’t been able to locate Murrieta-Molina, who was identified as living in the U.S. illegally, investigators wrote.
