PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A disturbing discovery was made near a popular hiking trail on Monday afternoon.

Firefighters were called out to the Echo Canyon Trail on Camelback Mountain . That’s where they found someone’s body off the trail.

It’s unclear how long it has been there. The person’s name has not been released.

Police are on the scene investigating.
