EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Columbia County School District has announced its Teacher of the Year finalists.

“These outstanding educators exemplify what it means to inspire, lead, and uplift our students and school communities,” the district said on Facebook.

The finalists are:

Jona Gaskin - Westmont Elementary School

Tiffany Tanner - Parkway Elementary School

Kirsten Matthis - Evans High School

Nancy Morris - Columbia Middle School

Lauren O’Neil - Cedar Ridge Elementary School
