(WNDU) - A new report shows the state of Michigan has the second-highest number of outage minutes per customer.

According to the Citizens Utility Board , this is mainly driven by the duration of outages rather than the frequency.

Michigan’s outage frequency was above the United States average.

The report shows the state’s electricity rate was also relatively high.

Residential rates are the eleventh highest in the nation, making it higher than any other state in the Midwest region.
