THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a man accused of snatching a necklace from a 42-year-old woman on Saturday afternoon in the Bronx.
The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. in front of 2575 Jerome Avenue.
The victim was walking on the sidewalk when she stopped to tie her shoelace. The suspect then biked up to the victim, forcibly took her necklace, and pushed her to the ground, according to the NYPD.
The suspect then fled on his bike heading south on Jerome Avenue, police say.
The victim sustained minor lacerations to her elbow and hand.
Police say the victim was last seen wearing a white shirt, black shorts, and white sneakers. The NYPD released the following surveillance photos.
