EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WKBN) -- East Liverpool leaders said enough is enough Monday, as a house long tied to drugs, violence and frustration in the city was boarded up.
The home on Sophia Street has been on city leaders' radar since 2022, serving as a revolving door of crime, drug busts and repeat offenders. With a temporary restraining order in hand, they came to board it up again, only this time, they say it's for good.
"This house has been a nuisance on our radar since 2022. The activities we continue to hear include violence and criminal activity, raw sewage in the basement. The home was immediately condemned," said Housing Director Amy Grossen.
