WORCESTER, Mass. (KTRE) - Former Central Heights Blue Devil Duke Ellis had two hits and drove in two runs in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre’s 6-5 loss to Worcester in game one of a doubleheader on Sunday.
Ellis got the start in left field and batted ninth.
Ellis went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. In the second inning, Ellis hit a 2-run home run over the right field wall to put the RailRiders up 3-0. It was the third homer of the year for Ellis.
The RailRiders (81-54) sit in first place in the INT East and will host the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, who sit in second place, just a half-game back of Scranton.
