City Comptroller Barbara Miller-Williams is now going to release payment for a new building and other improvements at city-owned Sahlen Field.

Miller-Williams had previously declined to pay the team because of what her office described as irregularities in the bidding and contracting process by the Buffalo Bisons and the city’s Department of Public Works.

Deputy Comptroller Delano Dowell Sr. told The News in an email that Miller-Williams’ concerns had been allayed after having a conversation with staff in the corporation counsel office after submitting a pair of reports to the Common Council last week outlining what she saw as issues with the process that needed to be addressed.
