After starting the season 0-2, Montana State offensive lineman Titan Fleischmann has urged his teammates not to panic.

He pointed to the talent level of both Oregon — now No. 4 in the AP Top 25 poll — and No. 2 South Dakota State, a team that had to go to double overtime to beat the Bobcats.

“There were a lot of things we did in that game that could have flipped it over to our favor,” Fleischmann said Monday.

Both Fleischmann and MSU head coach Brent Vigen highlighted the Bobcats’ defense, which accrued eight tackles for loss (four sacks), three pass breakups and a forced fumble. MSU also allowed only one touchdown in the second half.

“It was probably as good a D-line performance as we've had against (SDSU) in the four times we've played them (since 2021),” Vigen said.
