WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Big E, the largest fair in the Northeast, kicks off this Friday, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors to West Springfield.
The fair is expected to cause significant traffic as people from all over New England make their way to the event. Gates open at 8 AM on Friday, and on-site parking at Gate Nine is available for $10.
"If you're looking for a place to park, don't think you have to go directly to the front of the gate," said West Springfield's Mayor Will Reichelt. "There's a lot of businesses and residences in the neighborhood along Memorial Avenue, even if you're coming from Agawam, that have a place to park and you can walk."
