NEW ORLEANS — A little girl whose mother was diagnosed with a very serious illness could have never dreamed that several years later, she'd be helping patients across the country and beyond.
And that dream is now touching the lives of local patients.
Belle Spar vividly remembers the day her mom was diagnosed with a life-threatening benign brain tumor.
“I had a panic attack, and she found me there hysterical, crying. I thought I was going to lose my mom. I was 12. I had no idea. I was terrified and so we moved we moved to Boston for seven weeks,” Belle Spar, 21, remembers when the family moved for treatment.
