RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Tommy Troy is making it nearly impossible for Reno Aces manager Jeff Gardner to keep him out of the lineup.

Troy can play all over the diamond. As a utility player he prides himself on his versatility.

“I played second, shortstop base, and third base at Stanford and got a lot of reps at each position and that’s what they wanted me to be as well,” Troy said of his previous experience. “They wanted me to be a guy who stayed in the lineup and could play every position they needed.”

Position versatility is one of the many reasons the Arizona Diamondbacks selected Troy 12th overall in the 2023 MLB Draft.

With middle infielders Ketel Marte and Geraldo Perdomo locked up through at least 2029 with the big league club Tommy’s been playing some center field with the Aces.
