SPOKANE, Wash.- Engine 3 from the City of Spokane Fire Department, responded to a brush fire in the 31 block of West Downriver Drive at 2 p.m. today, according to a Facebook post from the department.

Additional resources assisted including multiple wildland engines from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to approximately one acre in under 30 minutes.

The fire’s cause is currently under investigation. The department asks that anyone with additional information to contact Crime Check at (509)-456-2233.
