CHARLOTTE, N.C. — It’s been almost a year since the community came together to help a woman who was about to go into labor and was trapped in her mountain community in the days after Hurricane Helene barreled through.
Courtney Mosser’s story was one that got a lot of attention — she was rushed to Charlotte to have her baby and dozens of women — strangers — in the area pitched in to help.
“Maya, would you like to come be on TV?” Mosser asked her 9 month old.
