MIAMI -- Things have just clicked for the Nationals as of late.
After winning five of their last six (including sweeping the Marlins in D.C. just a week earlier) coming into the series opener, Washington continued its hot streak with a gargantuan offensive statement in a 15-7 win over Miami on Monday night at loanDepot park.
The Nats had an 8-2 lead by the end of the fifth inning, highlighted by a three-run homer from Dylan Crews in the fifth. Former Marlin Josh Bell added a two-run homer in the sixth. Crews has now reached base safely in 21 of his past 26 games after missing 71 with a left oblique strain.
Bell meanwhile, sent echoes through loanDepot park with his bat as he mashed his second homer of the game in the seventh. The blast traveled a Statcast-projected 413 feet to right
