Dickinson Park in St. Joseph should have a new restroom facility by spring following action by city commissioners Monday.
At their regular meeting, commissioners approved a $607,000 bid from Pearson Construction for the building, which Public Works Director Greg Grothous tells us is coming about shortly after improvements were made by St. Joseph Public Schools to the baseball fields at the park.
“ We’l l be building a four family style restroom building at Dickinson Park,” Grothous said. “ So there won’t be a male female side. It’s just family style. So anybody can use any of the four. A nd then improving the parking lot. Currently, there is parking there. It’s a gravel lot.”
