During an interview with Nardwuar at Record Safari in Los Angeles, Sabrina Carpenter was told that only 200 copies of her debut album ("Eyes Wide Open") were made, and that most of them were given to record execs.

When asked if she received a copy, she said no but did mention she moved a lot during this time so maybe she didn't receive it.

"They really didn't give a fuck about me," she said of her former label, Hollywood Records.

Her debut album was released on April 14, 2015 when she was on Disney Channel's Girl Meets World and was just 15 years old. She would go on to release three more albums with them before leaving the label and signing with Island Records in 2021.
