LINCOLN, Neb. —

University of Nebraska administrators touted stable enrollment figures across the system despite uncertainty in higher education after its annual survey of the student population.

"The good news is we're actually up in Nebraskans and particularly, actually, up at the Med Center," NU President Dr. Jeffrey Gold said in an interview with KETV last week.

Almost 50,000 students are set to take more than 600,000 credit hours. Nearly half of them are draped in the scarlet and cream of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. UNL Chancellor Rodney Bennett commended a larger first-time freshman class than last year.
