ARLINGTON, Texas – A familiar face had a locker in the Milwaukee Brewers clubhouse once again as the team strolled into Globe Life Field on Sept. 8.

Rhys Hoskins , though not yet activated from the injured list, was back and present with the team, awaiting his activation Sept. 9 after spending two months on the shelf with a left thumb sprain .

The activation of Hoskins will give the Brewers three primary first basemen, a highly unusual roster construction but one the team feels comfortable with going down the stretch.

“I look at it as three offensive players,” manager Pat Murphy said. “That’s kind of the way (it is) in September, even though rosters don’t expand the way they used to. But I look at it as three offensive options.”
