Johnson edged out a 2-1 win over Summit in a tightly contested contest in Summit.

Alyssa Donkersloot led the way for Johnson, scoring a goal and adding an assist for a total of three points on the day. Alisia Hamm also found the back of the cage for Johnson, scoring once.

Colleen Sullivan and Avery Forfa each chipped in with an assist to round out the scoring for Johnson.

Summit (2-1) managed to get on the board in the third quarter, but Johnson’s defense held strong the rest of the way to secure the victory. Goalie Olivia Blanche made five saves in the win for Johnson.

After a scoreless first quarter, Johnson (1-2) struck first with a goal in the second to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
