Hoggard coach Craig Underwood has always been a Viking at heart.

It’s more than just a job for the 42-year-old. Underwood, who suited up for Hoggard in the late 1990s, has built a legacy rooted in tradition and success. Since taking over as head coach in 2015, he’s guided the Vikings to six conference titles, a state championship appearance, and the title of Wilmington’s winningest program, posting a 100-31 record.
