RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) - Police are looking for a convicted murderer who escaped from a work detail.

66-year-old Stacy Huggins was housed at the Augusta Transitional Center (TC) and was working in the community.

Once at the facility, the residents live in a structured setting while they are also provided counseling and assistance in finding and maintaining outside employment to assist with their reentry into society.

Huggins entered into the Georgia Department of Corrections in 1990 on a life sentence for murder in Fulton County, Georgia.
