DOBBINS HEIGHTS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A teenager is behind bars, accused of taking the life of another juvenile, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office reports.
On September 7, deputies were called to Horseshoe Drive after calls about a truck driving into a home after gunshots were heard.
Deputies, Hamlet firefighters and Emergency Medical Services found an unresponsive teenager inside the truck. The teen was taken to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Richmond Campus where he later passed away.
Authorities say they quickly identified and arrested another teenager for the shooting. He is charged with murder but may face more charges as the investigation is ongoing. He is currently being held without bond.
