GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro dental surgery center has been ordered to immediately stop using several newly built procedure rooms after state inspectors found multiple health and safety violations.

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) issued a cease-and-desist order to Valleygate Dental Surgery Center on Hickory Ridge Drive in Greensboro after a September 4 inspection.

According to state documents, Valleygate completed construction in July 2025 on three new procedure rooms and additional recovery bays without getting approval from the state - the same month a 2-year-old child died following a procedure at the facility.
