Micah Parsons made his debut with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday against the Detroit Lions. NFL fans won't have to wait long to see the former Dallas Cowboys star on the field again.

Parsons and the Green Bay Packers are set to play the Washington Commanders on "Thursday Night Football" to kickstart Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season. Both the Packers and Commanders were victorious in Week 1, so the winner of Thursday's game will briefly stand alone atop the NFC standings.

Parsons and the Packers defense performed well against the Detroit Lions in Week 1, limiting their divisional rival to 13 points and 46 rushing yards. They will face a tougher task of slowing down reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels on Thursday.

Daniels, a dual-threat quarterback, accounted for 301 total yards in Washington's 21-6 win over the New York Giants and showed great chemistry with new receiver Deebo Samuel. Along with Terry McLaurin, Washington's receiving duo should provide a quality test for a Packers secondary that may not yet have marquee free agent signing Nate Hobbs after he missed Week 1 with a knee injury.
