Mid-Missouri has not had temperatures in the 90s since the middle of August. Temperatures are warming up as we head into the weekend with a stretch of days in the lower to middle 90s.
Humidity will also be increasing so it will feel slightly more sticky, but not as muggy as what we have dealt with earlier this summer.
This will have a slight impact on our heat index temps. Many of us will feel a few degrees warmer than the actual temps.
The drought monitor was updated this morning and to no one's surprise, drought conditions are worsening across the state. Only about 5% of Missouri is not experiencing drought-like conditions.
There are still very little rain chances in the 8 day forecast. A few isolated showers are possible into next week, but many will stay completely dry.
