GREENSBORO, N.C. — The NCAA said Thursday former North Carolina A&T men’s basketball players are among a group of student-athletes under investigation for alleged sports betting violations.
The enforcement staff is pursuing cases involving 13 former players from six universities, including NC A&T, Eastern Michigan, Temple, Arizona State, New Orleans, and Mississippi Valley State. Allegations include betting on or against their own teams, sharing information with third parties, manipulating game outcomes, and failing to cooperate with investigators. The NCAA didn't share how many of those students went to NC A&T.
