H.S. VOLLEYBALL: Crye, Wade post big nights to power Avon to first win; Letchworth, Geneseo, Le Roy all win in straight sets

AVON — Avon got into the win column for the first time Wednesday night, beating Hornell in four tightly-contested sets.

The River Hawks and Red Raiders split each of the first two sets, with Avon winning 25-22 and then dropping the second set 18-25. From there, the River Hawks shut things down with 25-21 and 25-22 victories in sets three and four.
