Some days feel heavier than others, and it’s natural to feel tired or worn down by everything going on in the world. If that’s how you’re feeling, you’re not alone.

Think of this round-up as a hug — a reminder that kindness, connection, and beauty are still all around us. Even when it feels hard to see, there are moments worth noticing: a small act of kindness, a shared hug, some unexpected (but much-needed) help.

While it’s important to acknowledge sadness and process the weight of life, it's also ok to pause for a moment, notice something you’re grateful for, or let yourself be lifted by a small joy. Here are three stories that might help you do just that.

Phil Thompson's lifelong dream is to reach the summit of Wales' famed Snowdon. That goal seemed out of reach after a life-changing accident left him needing the use of a wheelchair. But love has its ways. His son's rugby team wanted to help. Working together, the young men carried Thompson all the way to the top of the Welsh summit, proving that no mountain is too high when kindness and love are your ride.

In Jacksonville, Florida, a 5-year-old wandered away from home in the early morning hours. Before young William's parents even knew he was missing, he turned up at a nearby Chick-fil-A, barefoot and ready for breakfast. The employees immediately jumped in — it was their pleasure — to wrap him in comfort and feed the boy while they called authorities to help. Watch below to see how police officers and staff turned what could have been a scary situation for the boy into a memory that will likely last a lifetime.

When Koen Hazeltine, a 10-year-old Ohio boy, was called to the principal's office, he braced for trouble. Instead he found the one person he’s been missing most. Click the video below to see a sweet brotherly reunion filled with the kind of hug that comes with happy tears and pure joy.
