Adult sites could be slapped with huge fines as probe into age concerns launched

A number of adult sites could be fined heavily if they fail to carry out checks on users' ages. It comes following the launch of an investigation into these websites by watchdog Ofcom . ‌

Following the introduction of the Online Safety Act , a whole host of adult websites were forced to introduce checks to verify users' ages. The resulting chaos went on spread to other websites, over fears their content may potentially break the rules of the law. ‌

Since the law was passed in July , u
