OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) - Some high school students in Oshkosh spent their day outside of the classrooms, and making a true impact in their communities to honor 9/11 victims.
Beginning at 8:15 a.m., students boarded a bus at Oshkosh North High School to kick off the annual 9/11 Day of Service. The bus took students to the Ferry Crossing Neighborhood to collect donations for local nonprofits.
The Day of Service continued at the Tiny House Village as students volunteered and discussed some of the ways that 9/11 has impacted people to this day, even those who were too young to remember or weren't born.
The last activity on the Day of Service features students and volunteers from AMCOR picking up trash at Asylum Point Park, cleaning up the grounds and wrapping up a day designed to foster and p
