PIEDMONT, Okla. (KFOR) - Piedmont Police says a student pilot and an instructor, who made an emergency landing in a nearby field, have both walked away safely.
According to authorities, officers responded to reports of a small aircraft missing after local airports lost radar contact miles away from Sundance Airport.
The emergency landing near Washington Ave. and Frisco Rd. was due to experiencing engine trouble, said police officials.
No injuries were reported, and the aircraft is undamaged. The scene has now been released to FAA control.
