A roofer was killed after falling from a five-story building in Wilton Manors on Thursday, police said.

Wilton Manors Police said officers responded to the building at 2631 Northeast 14th Avenue around 9 a.m. after a call about a fall from the rooftop.

Crews found the 23-year-old roofer who had fallen, and he was rushed to Broward Health Medical center where he died from his injuries.

His identity hasn't been released.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office and Occupational Safety and Health Administration responded to investigate.

"The Wilton Manors Police Department extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones affected by their loss," the department said in a statement.
