The trial for the suspect in a mass shooting that killed two people at Florida State University earlier this year has been postponed to March.

Phoenix Ikner, 21 , is accused of killing two people and wounding several others after opening fire near the university’s student union just before lunchtime on April 17. He faces two counts of first-degree murder and seven counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Ikner was expected to stand trial on Nov. 3, but on Wednesday, Circuit Judge Lance Neff postponed the proceedings to March 30, after a conflict of interest raised by Ikner’s former court-appointed public defender led the judge to appoint new attorneys to represent him.
