A convicted felon caught carrying a jailhouse shank while awaiting trial on a federal ammo possession charge beat the rap in the bullet case — but he still faces prison time after the jury convicted him of possessing the makeshift blade.
Jordan Alston, 28, was busted back in November 2023, when a probation officer found a single bullet under a futon in his Brooklyn apartment, according to court filings.
Alston, who was on probation for firing a gun in 2020, was charged with possession of ammunition as a felon, and he initially made bail on that charge.
But on May 20, his bond was revoked for repeatedly violating the terms of his release, landing him in the notorious MDC Brooklyn federal jail.
And on May 31, he was caught hiding a shank in his waistband during a search of his cell.
