SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Mild and pleasant weather is expected over the next few days with another boost of summer-like heat expected by early next week.
An area of low pressure centered over Nevada helped to cool us down and strengthen onshore flow in Southern California. Westerly to southwesterly winds are breezy across the region but the strongest for the desert communities with up to 45 MPH gusts.
Daytime highs will remain somewhat unchanged heading into the weekend with low 70s for the coast, upper 70s for inland valleys and mountains and mid 90s for the deserts.
Sunday will mark a warming trend as high pressure pushes back in from the east. Warmer afternoon temperatures will take hold to start off early next week with beaches getting back to the upper 70s to low 80s and 90s for t
