Matthew Rhys is heading back into the courtroom.

The Emmy-winning actor, who recently wrapped up a two-season run as the star of HBO’s Perry Mason , has joined Rachel Brosnahan in the Season 2 cast of Apple TV+’s Presumed Innocent , the streamer announced on Thursday.

Plot details have been kept under wraps so far, but it sounds like Rhys may be playing the accused murderer being defended by a young attorney played by Brosnahan . Season 2 will feature an all-new cast and story and will be based on Jo Murray’s upcoming novel Dissection of a Murder .
