A former Cherry Hill vice principal is suing the district, claiming he was fired after speaking up about discrimination he faced because of his religion and sexual orientation.
David Francis-Maurer was hired in 2023 as the ninth-grade assistant principal at Cherry Hill High School East .
This spring, the district declined to renew his contract and, days later, placed him on administrative leave over what he says were false accusations and acts of retaliation.
