TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Today’s something good could happen in the heart of downtown Tallahassee at its beautiful Chain of Parks!

Kathleen Spehar, Council on Culture & Arts (COCA) Executive Director, said Tallahassee is in the running for a grant from the Levitt Foundation that would pay for 21 concerts under the oaks in the next three years.

More good news:

“We just think it would be a fantastic way to bring people down and activate it under these oak trees that have seen 250 years of Tallahassee history. No matter what they’ve seen, no matter what’s gone on here, we want the park to be a place where people gather, enjoy music and capture joy,” Spehar said.
