Storms will bring heavy rain and potentially severe weather to parts of western and northern New Mexico Friday. Rain and thunderstorm chances continue into Saturday for parts of the state.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are moving through western and northern New Mexico Thursday afternoon. A few of these storms have turned strong with heavy rainfall. A couple spotty showers will be possible in the Albuquerque Metro again this evening as well. It's also another warm day across the state for many with high temperatures hovering near and above average for this time of year.
Friday and Saturday will be the most active day of weather across New Mexico as a storm system moves into the state. More storms will first develop in the western half of New Mexico by Friday afternoon. These storms
