SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) - The nation is remembering the men and women who died on September 11, 2001, in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a plane that crashed in Pennsylvania.
Every year on its anniversary, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue remembers 9/11 as well.
More flags than usual were flying in Sioux Falls today for the anniversary of 9/11.
And in front of Fire Station 3 along Minnesota Avenue, there were 343 of them.
"It's unifying, it's a sign of patriotism, it's a sign of remembrance," Rob Flannery with Sioux Falls Fire Rescue said.
