SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Meteorologist Scot Mundt is looking at some up and downs over the next month. He joins us with details.

Above-average temperatures will continue through the weekend, but we'll also watch for scattered rain. While the temps will slowly cool, that will turn around again and we'll warm as we get into October.

Here's a look at the next two weeks through September 23. It shows above-average rain for much of the area. Parts of eastern KELOLAND may end up closer to average or slightly below.

But as we get beyond the 23rd, we are expected to dry out. As dry conditions are expected for much of the upper plains, this takes us through at least the first half of the month.
