Washington Commanders defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. looked like he was crying on the field after suffering a gruesome injury during Thursday night’s showdown against the Green Bay Packers.

The game began with a moment of silence for Charlie Kirk, an outspoken conservative who was killed on Wednesday.

Wise, a Super Bowl Champion with the New England Patriots in 2019, was attempting to barrel his way through Green Bay’s offensive line on a PAT attempt in the second quarter when Packers rookie offensive tackle Anthony Belton fell on his right leg, dropping all of his weight as it twisted beneath him at an awkward angle.

The DE was eventually carted off the field. He was extremely emotional while being checked before being put in the cart.
