JERSEY VILLAGE, Texas (KTRK) -- Jersey Village Police say they're looking for three suspects accused of crashing a stolen vehicle on a freeway during rush hour on Wednesday evening near 290 and Jones Road. Several lanes had to be shut down for hours.

Transtar cameras capture flames erupting from the stolen vehicle. According to the Jersey Village police department, it was the end of the pursuit involving four masked suspects who they say crashed a stolen vehicle.

"The vehicle was reported to be driving recklessly through a residential area. When he was approaching the intersection of Jersey Road and the northwest freeway, an officer in a marked unit observed the vehicle disregarding stop signs and speeding onto the service roads," Lt. Daniel Rodriguez said.
