BRIDGEPORT, Conn — A Brazilian man who lives in Naugatuck was sentenced Thursday to 18 months in prison for operating an investment fraud scheme.
Twenty-eight-year-old Rafael Muzzi received the sentence in Bridgeport federal court, according to a report from the Interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
Court documents and statements show that in 2017 and 2018, Muzzi used two different entities he created – Solace Investments LLC and Asseno LLC – to induce victim-investors to give him money.
