ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Naval Academy in Annapolis went on lockdown after shots were reportedly fired on the campus Thursday afternoon.
Multiple sources inside the U.S. Naval Academy told FOX News had reported that the lockdown was caused after a midshipman who had been kicked out of the school returned to campus armed with a gun. It was later revealed that the information was incorrect.

Reports about the lockdown began to come in around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sources initially said gunshots were heard inside Bancroft Hall, which houses the midshipmen.
It's also reported that the alleged shooter has been knocking on doors on the campus, pretending to be a military member.
