EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- The NAACP Indiana Education Committee hosted what they described as a critical town hall meeting today following recent reforms at the state level.
The gathering welcomed educators, parents, students and policy-makers as they talked about the sweeping education reforms enacted by the Indiana General Assembly in July.
"We want them to be informed and really have an opportunity to meet the new superintendent. and to have an up close and personal with school board members, legislators, and to know that there is a process on how you can share concerns," education chair Pamela Decker said.
Some of the panelists at the town hall included Representative Alex Burton EVSC Superintendent Darla Hoover and Indiana State Senator Vaneta Becker.
