AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Domestic Violence Coalition announced that this year's Domestic Violence Awareness Walk will take place at the start of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The walk is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Legal Aid of Northwest Texas. The walk will end at the Potter County Lawn, where participants will be met with a special presentation and food trucks.

Officials said the event will feature Texas State Representative Caroline Fairly as a special guest speaker.
